Looked really interesting, and I subscribed for the free trial to take it for a test run. I wanted to use the focus setting as that would be my primary use for this app. It wouldn't let me select this option without paying. I understand wanting to protect material that you've put hard work in, but don't offer a 7 day free trial to the premium service if you're not going to allow access to the features your asking people to pay for.
This App us broken. It's been that way for several months. Voice and music just stops after 15-20 minutes. You can sometimes restart it (music only), but that defeats the purpose of a sleep app. I rated this 5 stars in 2016. It is just about the most expensive App I subscribe to. Now, not even 1 star. I couldn't recommend this even it was free When I contacted Pzizz support, their response was, "Sorry it's not working for you"
Fantastic app as is all of Rockwell Venture apps. I subscribe to them all. They are that good. The narrations are so soothing and hypnotic. I can't imagine anything better. A free trial is offered with this app as is with the other Rockwell venture apps. I would take advantage of the trial run and decide for yourself. I'm sure you will not be disappointed.
The best sleep/nap/focus app Pzizz does what it does very well! Background sound selections are really good and relaxing, and the voice narratives are excellent. Better than I've seen in other apps. Individual volume levels on both background and voice. One of the few apps that I actually purchased the subscription version of. Free option is also great too though. Helped me get through some sleepless nights, some much needed naps and some learning curves at work. Overall great app
After using this app fine for about a day, it has suddenly ceased functioning. I can't start any of the modules as the audio just doesn't play and the normally animated background is just black. There have been no updates between getting the app and when this bug appeared. Edit: Dropped my rating to two stars because the "contact us" button in the app is the only one that does nothing. I'll be glad to change my rating when the app works again.
"Excellent idea, poor execution". I loved the original, simple, free Pzizz. Now- to use this app for the classic, free services only- you still have to download an enormous app full of the paid options. There is no simple "free vs paid" option. A free version (containing only the free options)- with the option to upgrade to a paid/pro version app- would be much better. Been waiting a long time to come back to Pzizz, but y'all are still not there yet. I like seeing the proactive customer service
This app needs some work, and for the high price you have to pay after the 7 day trial, I would never buy it. The main problem is that the dreamscapes and narrative both stop for awhile then start back up. This is disturbing while trying to get to sleep because it makes me think instead of relax. And when it starts back up, it kind of jars me. It happens on all the dreamscapes that I tried. It's a shame because it could be so good but it needs tweaked.
Alarm going off at random times in the morning, with no notification or clear way to stop it?? Had to uninstall to make it stop. The background sounds were ok. The background voices were ok, but got annoying after a minute or two, so I turned them off. I might have kept using this longer if it weren't for the alarm bug... but I can't have my phone doing alarm things at random.
Its an amazing app and i would give it 5 stars but i feel like theres not enough free things. You cant choose to have a female voice if u dont have premium. Also you have very little options on the background noises. I can say it works tho. I always fall asleep even before the voice finishes. It is amazing for people who struggle with sleep. Would recommend if your looking for a good app to help you sleep.

I appreciate the effort put into the app and the free "demo" soundscapes. However, I cannot stomach using or recommending a subscription model for an app under pretty much any circumstance. I would have preffered paying one-time for individual soundscapes if nothing else over having to commit to a subscription-model. I am sorry.
I've used this extensively in the past when i was physically ill and needed a nap almost every day. I have had no luck using this during the work week, though, as for some reason the wake up sequence doesn't go off AND it turns off Android's own alarm. So if you can risk sleeping in, feel free to go all in. Otherwise use it for the weekends only.
Amazing app worth every cent to be a premium member and access the different dreamscapes and narrations. I use this app every night, and I have noticed an increase in sleep quality since I installed it a few months ago. Even on nights when my mind is racing, I can fall asleep quickly. Being able to play the dreamscape all night also helps me fall back to sleep when my boyfriend turns over and accidentally hits me in the face. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that wants to relax before falling asleep or who has trouble sleeping.
This app is good, but the price is rather steep, especially since it's recurring. Also you only have access to a single sleepscape at the free level, the so called classic pzizz. Just the one dreamscape/narrative, no focus, so it's better to call it "sample/trial account" rather than free. If the price were lower and one time, I'd be more keen on actually paying for this app, as it does work well, but I don't make enough money to justify a hundred bucks every year for sleep ambience. Guess I'll stick with the skyrim soundtrack, or Ambio Edit : yes I know about sleepio but they're a completely different program and can integrate with trackers such as fit bit and do actual sleep studies, so comparing their cost to an ambient/meditation app is misleading at best. Never mind their app is only a way to submit sleeping data and they don't have an android app, so this copy paste response is very misleading and you ought to be ashamed of that.
I really wanted to like this app, but there is an audio processing error that occurs. Randomly it seems the algorithm has problems, for lack of a better term, "tying" all the sounds together and a loud electronic screeching happens. Afterward one or sometimes all of the audio elements will just drop out. It might be the voice over, the background audio, or all of it. As you could imagine this makes relaxing impossible, which is the entire point of the app. Weirdly enough I never had this problem with the free version of it, only after I upgraded it. Otherwise this would have gotten a glowing review from me. Instead, I want a refund.
I have used this app for over ten years. It was simple but it was free and the only app I know will help me get out of my own head so I can sleep. Like, there's one track with the perfectly timed sound of water waves and music that makes you feel weightless (if for only a brief second). Its fancier and expensive now but I suppose I am eventually gonna buy it. When I can afford it. Until then, the free tracks. The mans voice makes me feel some semblance safe. Highly recommend.
I've tried them all. I have sleep apps and I hate white noise apps. There's too much STUFF that gets in the way of actually practicing relaxation. Wow, this app really surprised me. There are 3 modes: Sleep, Relax, and Focus. Once you choose a mode, then you have the option of going into setting to change the music or narration. Also, there's no ads or "pls buy this nao" gimmicks. So good.
Please bring back individual volume control for music and narration! I've been using this app for a long time and overall it's been extremely helpful. However, I often have issues with the volume being too loud, even with my phone's volume all the way down. This means I have to go into my phone's settings and manually change the sound settings, which was not necessary prior to the change to the app's volume control.
I love this app, but it doesn't work. It used to be flawless but recently it wont keep playing after my screen turns off. There is a momentary pause, then it comes back on sounding like an old radio station with weak signal... scratchy and obnoxious. I've played with all the settings and permissions and still cant get it to work. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. I really miss using this app!!!!
I have used this app for almost 2 years, and it's been amazing. I have bad anxiety, and the nap setting especially has been a lifesaver for breaking up a stressful day. That said, I've been having an issie. Sorry I couldn't find a link for troubleshooting :( I recently changed my phone, and I keep getting an error that the file doesn't exist in the storage of my new Android when I try to start a module. I've tried uninstalling and redownloading, and it's been the same error.
Great app. I'm having a bit of difficulty with the alarm feature however. Every time I set the alarm it doesn't engage at the end of the session. Other than that, it helps me focus and I use it for refreshing naps. Update 11-28-18: As of the most recent update, it appears as though the aforementioned lack of a notification during sessions has been resolved. I have yet to fully test this, however, and should the issue persist I will make note of it here. If I could make a suggestion, it is this: please make it so that there is an option to disable the fullscreen mode and allow it to function more like an app with the control buttons constantly displayed instead of having to swipe down first. Other than that, keep up the good work, guys!
